It's normal to have questions before calling. Here are answers to some common concerns.

Is the call really free?

Yes. Calling 1333 is completely toll-free from any mobile or landline in Sri Lanka. You do not need phone credit to call.

Is my conversation confidential?

Yes. Your conversation is private and treated with respect. We do not share your information without your consent, except in rare situations where someone’s immediate safety is at risk.

What if I don’t know what to say?

That’s okay. You don’t need the “right words.” You can start anywhere. The volunteer will gently guide the conversation.

Will I be judged?

No. Our trained volunteers listen with empathy and without criticism. This is a safe space to speak openly.

How long can I talk?

You can talk for as long as you need. There is no rush.

Can I hang up anytime?

Yes. You are always in control of the call. You can end it whenever you feel ready.

What languages are available?

Support is available in Sinhala, Tamil, and English.
